9.17.09 PHOENIX -- A little after ten o'clock Sunday morning, the building at 3033 N 3rd Street collapsed in spectacular fashion. The rumble from the building's collapse could be felt blocks away. Crews from Advanced Explosives Demolition brought down the building with no injuries and no damage. Around 10:20 a.m., fire officials gave the "all-clear" and crews moved in to assess the demolition job. Lisa Kelly said the building's demolition went off without a hitch. "It went very well. That's the way these things should go," she said. This is the first episode of a TLC series documenting the lives of the Kelly’s as they journey from implosion to implosion. On Thursday, Kelly walked confidently through the rubble surrounding the skeleton of a ten story office building. "We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate your company on successfully completing the explosive demolition of four large stacks at the Bunker Hill Remedial Action Project. Your coordination with Federal, State and local authorities was well done and greatly appreciated by all parties involved. Based on your performance on the stack demolition you were awarded a change order to demolish two additional buildings and that work is on schedule and being performed in a safe manner."
